PRESS RELEASE – 14th BBB Short Festival – Athens Edition

The 14th BBB Short Film Festival – Athens Edition, centered around the theme Edgetales, comes to Athens from the 12th to the 14th of January at the Greek Film Archive Foundation (Tainiothiki tis Ellados). After the 14th Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival in Nikšić, Montenegro, this October, the festival travels back to its hometown, Athens, aligning with the Twin Cities approach it has embraced in recent years. From the 12th to 14th of January, the 14th BBB Short Film Festival – Athens Edition will explore the concept of the “edge” through a diverse array of narratives, presenting it’s 14th BBB SFF competition programme, special screenings, performances, a networking event with the Embassy of Montenegro in Athens, and a photography marathon in the neighborhood of Keramikos.

The theme Edgetales is inspired by “fairytales” which narrate stories wishing to re-articulate and re-contextualise the notions of the border, of limitations and liminalities, of personal experiences that make visible that which has been kept hidden and unseen.
