Pre-production as a vital step in filmmaking. The Director of Photography must be prepared for every aspect of filmmaking to ensure that the visual style of the film is in function of the story. How should the project be prepared? What should the collaboration be like and what are the most important things in the creative process of the Director of Photography?

Facilitator BIO:                                        

Lazar Radić was born in 1985 in Smederevo, Serbia, where he graduated elementary and middle school. In 2009 he entered the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, Camera section, where he graduated in 2014. During his studies as a director of photography he shot several short student movies: Rujka (2013), Sutra (2014), Iskra (2014). After graduation he started working as a camera operator on feature films Granice, kiše (2018), Zlogonje (2018), Šavovi (2019), Pijavice (2019). As a director of photography he shot short features and documentaries: Suvozači (2017), Puna glava radosti (2018), Posjeta (2020). He also shot numerous corporate films, commercials and music videos. In 2020 he was nominated for a best camera in a documentary shorts competition on Camerimage 2020 in Thorun, Poland. He created his first feature film as a director of photography in 2020, Juzni Vetar: Ubrzanje. In 2021 he shot the TV series Bunar and in 2022 the second season of the TV series Juzni Vetar.
