Do you have a keen eye for “invisible” stories, seen through a photographic lens? Eager to frame moments that reflect your own “Edgetale” in the heart of Keramikos? Embark on a visual journey through the bustling streets and hidden corners of Keramikos as we invite you to participate in the photography marathon: Urban Edgetales, in the context of the 14th BBB Short Film Festival – Athens Edition.
The event is inspired by this year’s festival theme Edgetales, inspired by “fairytales” which narrate stories wishing to re-articulate and re-contextualise the notions of the border, of limitations and liminalities, of personal experiences that make visible that which has been kept hidden and unseen.
The photography marathon Urban Edgetales calls upon participants to unravel narratives of personal expression and reflexivity, and to investigate the interplay between the self and the urban environment, against the backdrop of the Keramikos neighborhood. The marathon challenges participants to become storytellers through their own unique lens, and encourages them to interact with the urban elements, incorporating them as catalysts in their photographic narratives.

How to participate:
Registration: Secure your spot by filling out the online application form.
Tools: any photography tool (smartphone, digital camera etc.)
Programme: 11.30-12.00 meeting point & registration at Fabrica, Athens
12.00-15.00 photography marathon in the neighbourhood of Keramikos
15.00- 16.00 return to meeting point & photography submission
17.00 upload of visual outputs on the BBB website & social media profiles
The photos taken by participants will be uploaded and featured on the interactive Balkans Beyond Borders map, on the balkansbeyondborder.eu website, and promoted through all social media platforms. The visual pieces become an integral part of bringing the creative outputs and an exploration of the Keramikos neighborhood.
