SYNOPSIS

Protagonist of the short documentary is Ištvan Farkaš, writer and poet from Novi Sad. He came across first difficulties in life in high school, and it was clearly happening because his Roma nationality. After years and years of struggle and hard life in poverty, Ištvan goes to Germany and for the first time realises how does it feel to be “treated as an equal individual”. Story is a part of a project based on web site “Tell your own story”, where more such human destinies are being told, in order to create coherence and tolerance in Vojvodina and Serbia.
