SYNOPSIS

When a family clears out their late grandmother’s apartment, an old mattress – sunken, stained, and steeped in memory, is tossed out with the trash. But this discarded relic refuses to disappear. As it moves through flea markets, alleyways, and city outskirts, the mattress quietly threads together the lives of strangers. Told in three interconnected vignettes, The Journey of a Mattress blends tragicomedy and observational realism into a lyrical meditation on memory, inheritance, and the strange persistence of everyday objects. In a world obsessed with the new, this silent witness reminds us that what we leave behind never truly lets go.
