‘BBB Bests’ special slot
BBB travelled to Timișoara, at 16th of October, as part of the Taifas Film Festival, presenting BBB Bests, a curated screening of awarded short films from past editions of the Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival. The screening brought Balkan stories to a new audience, continuing BBB’s mission to foster cross-border dialogue through cinema.

“WATER OF LIFE” (Turkey, 15”) – BBB First Film Award
A haunting depiction of displacement and survival that invites empathy and urgency.
“Tiny Fountain” (Greece, 9”) – Special Mention
A poetic journey into the memory and dialects of Western Macedonia.
“Hayati” (Turkey, 12”) – Special Mention
A farmer’s struggle to preserve his land and heritage amid encroaching development.
