SYNOPSIS
Sicily 1958. The town of Cofone, in the Sicilian hinterland, has its streets lined with electoral posters in view of the mayoral elections. We are in the years of competition between the DCI and the PCI. A few days before the elections, the PCI candidate for mayor dies. The funeral is transformed into a theater of the absurd. But the disbelief of the people reaches its climax in the last wishes of the deceased…
