Eirini Vourloumis (B. 1979) is of Greek and Indonesian background and is currently based out of Athens. Her photographic reportage work mainly covers the economic crisis in Greece and she is a contributing photographer to the New York Times and other international publications. Her current personal work combines a documentary and conceptual photographic approach, in which she explores social and political environments to reflect their dynamic within the context of the economic crisis in her home country. Her work has been been exhibited in the Bozar Museum in Brussels and was recognized by the British Journal of Photography in their “One’s to Watch” 2015 issue.
