Preselection Committee – 11th BBB Short Film Festival
BBB Preselection Committee is a team of young passionate professionals from the field of film industry, film festivals and communication watching thoroughly all film entries of the 11th BBB Short Film Festival and selecting the finalists.

Rifat Erkek, Turkey
Rifat Erkek was born in Malatya, works, and lives in Istanbul, Turkey. He graduated from Ankara University Department of Journalism. After graduating, he studied at Pittsburgh Filmmakers in the USA. When he came back to Turkey he completed his master’s degree at Cinema, Television, Radio Department of Istanbul University. He worked in various film, TV and commercial projects. Also, he signed several short films with his crew. He and their crew won several awards at several international and national film festivals. He is going on making films and photographs. Also, He is working at the media company as a communication specialist and he is studying PHD Radio, Television, and Cinema at Istanbul University.
Rifat is BBB Ambassador and Project Manager of the 11th BBB Short Film Festival.
Mariana Hristova, Bulgaria
After graduating from the Film Studies program at NATFA, Sofia in 2005, Mariana has been working as a film and cultural journalist for several years. Pursuing a career shift, in 2010 she moved to Amsterdam to continue her education in the field of film archiving and curatorship. As part of the educational program, she completed an internship at Filmoteca de Catalunya, Barcelona and she is currently living in the Catalan capital focusing on film festivals management and curating of content from Eastern Europe and the Balkans. She has already curated “Visiones Balcanicas,” the first Balkan focus within the MECAL Short and Animation Film Festival in Barcelona (2015), the film cycle “Bulgaria, the Invisible Europe” at Barcelona’s Filmoteca de Catalunya and Madrid’s Filmoteca Española(2016), the Balkan Short Films selection for the installation Lògiques Naturals at Capella de Sant Joan, Vilafranca de Penedés (2017), and co-curated the Croation Focus within MECAL (2016). In 2016 she won the film criticism award of the Balkan cinema website Altcine.com, so she became an ambassador of Balkan Film for the 5C Project. She is currently handling social media and press communications for the Eastern Neighbours Film Festival.
Sead Šabotić , Montenegro
Sead Šabotić graduated from the FDA in Cetinje, Montenegro in 2016, obtaining his Bachelor of Arts in Film and TV Directing. He finished postgraduate studies on FDA Cetinje with short documentary film “Ours”. His most successful documentary film “Revolutionary Home”, has been awarded numerous times and was screened at many festivals. He participated in many events that bring together filmmakers, as well as in several workshops in the field of directing. He was a participant in Fajr Film Festival Talent Campus in Tehran, Iran, 2017. Currently, he is enrolled in postgraduate master studies at the FDA Belgrade.

Theodor Tudose, Romania
Theodor Tudose, is a student filmmaker, studying Film Directing at U.N.A.T.C. I.L. Caragiale in Bucharest, Romania. Professional Photographer since 2016. Part of the core team of BUZZ International Film Festival and Comic 7B International Independent Theatre Festival.
Hale Karakas Keskin, Turkey
Hale is a Communication and Advertising Specialist with a Bachelor Degree in Radio, Cinema, and Television from Ankara University and Masters Degree in Advertising from Marmara University. She is passionate about cinema and film festivals with experience at Ankara International Film Festival and film productions.
