Balkans Beyond Borders welcomes volunteers, who are interested in working with the 13th Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival in Athens, its preparations, screenings and parallel events, which will be held during the 1st and 4th of December.
We are looking for volunteers to assist in subtitling the films, from Greek to English, which will be screened at the festival, and to assist in supporting the preparation and implementation of the festival’s activities and screenings. Volunteers will have the opportunity to expand their skills in translation and subtitling, while getting hands-on experience with working with- and co-shaping a film festival.
Please complete the online Volunteer Application by the 11th of November.
The 13th BBB Short Film Festival: ‘Athens Edition’ is the Athenian version of the short film festival of Balkans Beyond Borders, which was held this year in Bitola, North Macedonia in October 2022, under the theme ‘Untiling the mosaic’. In December 2022, the festival travels to its hometown Athens for 4 days of screenings and a multi-thematic character, which interacts with audiovisual and performing arts, open dialogue and exchange of good practices, as well as workshops and events.
The role of the volunteer requires individuals who work well within a group, have strong communication skills, are computer savvy and proficient in the Greek and English language.
We will notify the selected candidates by email, based on their overall skill set, the number of applications and overall needs of the festival.
