“BBB cross-European screening”
The 15th edition of Balkans Beyond Borders Short Film Festival – Human Traces – celebrates togetherness through the “BBB cross-European screening,” which will take place on October 9th at 21:00 in Spetses, the festival’s host city, and simultaneously in Bitola (North Macedonia), Niksic (Montenegro), Tirana (Albania) Veliko Tarnovo (Bulgaria).
Titled “Village or City life?”, the screening is part of the competition programme and aims to highlight the role of space in shaping human identity and how humans interact with both natural and urban landscapes.
The Competition Programme of the 15th BBB SFF presents new perspectives and narratives from young filmmakers across the Balkans and beyond by exploring the traces of the past and present, combined with our relationship with the notion of “topos” (space), the environment, and social dynamics.
The screening programme consists of the short films:
- Water of life, Sündüs Gören, Turkey, Drama, 2023, 15′
- Ruminate, Mina Panjković, Serbia, Drama, 2023, 20′
